I'm really into this one. She's another large scale, swoopy, indulgent, color -full, homage to living growing unfolding exultation. And ladies, duh.
These orange ditch (day) (wood) lilies, depending which name you know them by, are one of my very favorites. They bloom all over the place here in the summer, in ditches and along walls and tucked into the woods and shady places. My mom loved these and they always remind me of her.
