this rose, still blooming, caught my eye on a late fall walk as some beautiful low angle dappled light suddenly shifted and illuminated it. The glow, the heat suffused with cool blue all around, the transparency of those fragile petals, still pealing out (bell pun) -- all of it resonated with me, and this moment feels like a promise of hope and life and loving memory, and tenderness. ❤️
