Pothos are a much beloved houseplant, in part for their beautiful cascading vines and heart shaped leaves, and in part because they don't mind if you forget them for a month. For this still life, I looked to the shapes echoed between the draped satin and the grace of the plant. The yellow underpainting shows through, lacing together the whole scene with hidden energy. Painted with palette knife.
18" x 24" oil on stretched canvas. Titled and signed on the back.
