These majestic giant taro leaves (it's a similar look to the monstera, but these babies are huuuge -- about 4 feet long!) are here to remind you. This is a time of abundance, and thriving. And growth. And decadence, even. Their lush shine really called to me, and the verdant richness of the jungle (from my contrast point of the gray new england winter), and this prompted a floodgate of colors and unrepentant florals and botany metaphors.
24" x 24" oil on cradled wooden board, with a deep gallery edge (1" deep)
