Original oil painting
Magnolia blooms seem so perfectly improbable to me, with their long, graceful petals blowing in the breeze. I love how delicate they seem, yet they bloom pretty early on in the wild fickle moods of spring. This one was dancing, a gesture of lightness and turning in space.
16" x 16" oil on cradled wooden board, with a gallery edge (.75" deep)
