If trees have an adolescence it is in the spring blooming time so fragrant, so flirtatious full of delicacy, a softness and sudden unfurling to the world, a vulnerability to touch and full too of clamor and scent, brash against the static gray structure holding them up in the sky while they peal and shout Beauty! into the air, and Love me, also and Notice me, quick before leaves, before breezes before the heat.
